Inclement Weather and Other Disruptions

If there is inclement weather or other disruption (flood, power outage, lack of water, etc) and there is a risk to health and safety, the Headteacher and Site Manager will make the decision to restrict opening. Every effort will be made to notify parents of closure by 7:30am via school comms. We will also update our website and social media with notices of closure. Please see the following table for information about indicators and actions across a number of different scenarios. Parents who are concerned about treacherous conditions will be allowed to take students home earlier on severe weather days. This can be done contacting their child’s Head of Year or Pastoral Lead.

I was head girl in 2015 and loved being able to speak to parents about my time at Sheldon when they were considering where their children should go. Because of how it has shaped me as a person I feel I am who I am today because of my time there.
