2024 Christmas Achievement Assemblies

20 Dec 24

At the end of each term, we hold Achievers Assemblies for each year group to celebrate students who have shown excellent effort in their classes as well as demonstration of our school values to be kind, be brave and be the best you. These are often lively celebrations that allow our pastoral teams to have some fun during the assembly as they give out prizes and reflect on the term.

During this year's celebrations, we were treated to musical performances from students and faculty, along with some amazing Christmas costumes. Mr Humphreys, Head of Year 12, treated the captured audience to his stand-up routine (don't worry, he won't be switching careers any time soon). Sixth Form and Year 8 sang rousing renditions of the Twelve Days of Christmas that could probably be heard across the field in Hardenhuish classrooms! Plenty of candy was won, along with star prizes including scooters, popcorn makers, speakers, selfie sticks and gift cards.

This was a lovely way to end a very busy term. Congratulations to all the students who won prizes today. We hope everyone has a great holiday and enjoys the break!

Sheldon gave me confidence in my abilities and supported my ambitions. Going to a state school has many benefits over private in terms of real-world experience and being friends with a varied group of students. This has helped me in my life since school.
