Our School Production of Wendy & Peter Pan opened yesterday to enough applause to save a fairy! The swashbuckling show highlights the talent in our Performing and Expressive Arts faculty and allows students to shine both on and off stage. The show follows the well loved tale of Neverland and the Lost Boys but updates the story to create a strong female alliance of Wendy, Tigerlilly and Tinkerbell to rescue Peter and defeat Captain Hook. It's full of laughs and needle drops to keep you entertained.

Wendy & Peter Pan is the first show directed by our new Head of Drama, Miss Waller, under the leadership of our new Head of Performing and Expressive Arts, Mrs Brunt. The production brought together all departments of the PEA Faculty as it was supported by choreography from Miss Spalding in Dance, gorgeous set design by our Art Club and musical numbers performed by Mr Goldsworthy and the production band. It is a truly whole school production with students from every year group representing the ensemble cast.

Thank you to all of the cast and crew for their hard work over the last few months to put this show together, as well as all of the staff that worked extra hours after school to support our students in the production. This week they will perform two days of matinees for local primary schools as well as three evening performances. Tickets are still available on ParentPay or can be purchased with cash at the door (£6 for adults, £4 for children)

During the show's interval, the Sixth Form Charity Team will be selling refreshments to raise funds for the Doorway and Scouts flood appeal. Thank you to everyone that has donated. If you are coming to the show this week, please bring a cash donation or use the QR Codes in the Refectory to donate directly to their appeals.

The school reinforced my core values and built friendships that have continued to this day, drama gave me the confidence to begin to stand in front of strangers and speak to groups.
