A huge congratulations to all of the talented boys and girls who attended the Performing Arts Trip to Disneyland Paris during the October break. They group faced a tough audition round last year and have been rehearsing for months to perfect their performances. The Disney Performing Arts OnStage programme provides performance opportunities to amateur groups, with the aim of giving them a glimpse into Disney's world of entertainment, by offering them the unique once in a lifetime experience of becoming a 'Disney performer' for the day. Along with taking the stage in Videopolis, they students also had the chance to participate in workshops with Disney professionals to teach them how to harness that Disney magic! The rest of the trip was spent celebrating their achievements, exploring the parks and going on plenty of rides!

Thank you to all of our performers for there professionalism and dedication. You were excellent representatives of Sheldon's dance and drama faculties and we were so proud to see you shine on stage. We'd also like to say a huge thank you to Miss Spalding and Mrs Wilkins for organising the trip and rehearsals, as well as the other staff that joined the trip. If you'd like to see some of their magic in action, make sure you get tickets for our Christmas production of Alice in Wonderland which will feature some of the pieces from our Disney showcase.

Sheldon gave me confidence in my abilities and supported my ambitions. Going to a state school has many benefits over private in terms of real-world experience and being friends with a varied group of students. This has helped me in my life since school.
