Flying Start Challenge Final

Congratulations to the two teams of Year 9 students who took part in the Flying Start Challenge Grand Final last week. Our young engineers travelled to Bristol's Aerospace Museum to compete in a series of challenges designed to test their teamwork and design skills. They also had a chance to test their gliders for distance and accuracy under the nose of the legendary Concord!

Throughout the Flying Start Challenge, our students were supported by our Science Faculty and engineers from AtkinsRéalis. This experience has helped develop their STEM skills, as well as their understanding of the principles of flight. We're hope this experience has sparked a love of science and engineering in our students.
