Gold and Bronze DofE Expeditions

Our Bronze DofE recently group finished up their awards with their Qualifying Expedition around the North Wessex Downs and our Gold Group began their challenge with a practice walk in the Brecon Beacons. Both groups had an amazing time exploring the countryside and experiencing the best of the British summer (both sunshine and rain!) Thank you to all the Sheldon staff who volunteered to assist on both weekend camping trips, as well as to Miss Langdon for organising the programme!

Bronze and Silver Award students should work on completing all of their paperwork for their volunteering, physical and skills sections by September. Our Gold Award team will head off for their Qualifying Expedition at the beginning of next school year.

Sheldon gave me confidence in my abilities and supported my ambitions. Going to a state school has many benefits over private in terms of real-world experience and being friends with a varied group of students. This has helped me in my life since school.
