Photography Trip to Lacock

29 Oct 25

Earlier this month, A Level Photography students visited Lacock to explore the Fox Talbot Museum documenting the history of photography (and former Lacock resident William Fox Talbot's contribution to the development of photography) and the special Werner Bischof exhibition, by Magnum Photos. They also made the most of the fine weather with a photoshoot around the Abbey, Abbey grounds and Lacock village.

The students were an absolute pleasure and we had a great time. We are very lucky to have such a beautiful location and relevant museum nearby. Hopefully our students were inspired by their trip to Lacock and can use some of what they learned in their photography coursework. Thank you to Miss Moss and our Art Faculty for organising this educational visit.

Having worked in many schools I can say that the environment at Sheldon School is one of the best I’ve ever seen. The standard of education and relationships I built with teachers were exceptional.
