National Apprenticeship Week 2024
This week marks the the 17th annual National Apprenticeship Week (5-11 February 2024). The theme for this year's National Apprenticeship Week is Skills for Life.
National Apprenticeship Week aims to shine a light on the amazing work being done by apprentices, employers and their training providers across the country. The annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships, taking place across England, will reflect on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.
In addition to our regular Careers Education Information and Guidance programme, we are very pleased to announce the line up of employers that will be joining us for our National Apprenticeship Week lunchtime pop-up sessions outside the refectory. Students are encouraged to drop by on their lunch break to find out more about their options after leaving school.
- Monday: Wessex Water & Wiltshire Council
- Tuesday: CRB Engineering & BAE Systems
- Wednesday: Bath College & Snapdragons Nursery
- Thursday: British Army, Royal Navy & Specsavers
Students in Sheldon Sixth Form will also attend assemblies about apprenticeships and will receive further advice and support from our Careers Advisor, including mock interview sessions. More information for Sixth Form students on our careers support options can be found by downloading the documents below.
Thank you to all the employers that are visiting this week and supporting our students as they look to their future and build their skills for life!
