School Closure Monday 23 September

Due to a catastrophic electrical failure the School on Friday and the failure of a backup generator this morning Sheldon School will be shut today, Monday 23 September 2025.

All School Open Morning tours this morning are cancelled. We will be in touch to reschedule tours.

Students are advised to complete any homework set on epraise. If you are looking for additional work today, please take a look at our Online Learning Resources for links to activities to support your learning.

An electrical substation supplying power to the school site suffered a failure on Friday night, resulting in a power cut across the site. The electricity board has since installed a temporary generator, which had restored power. This morning, this failed also. Once we have confirmed with the electricity board how long the school will be closed we will give you an update.

I didn’t realise until I was older that the things i learned weren’t all academic - I was shown how to be a better person and express myself due to some really amazing teachers.
