Y7 Girls Rugby

21 Mar 24

On Wednesday, our Y7 Girls Rugby team played against Hardenhuish to end their first term of rugby training.

Here's the match report from their specialist coach, Tim Dunford:

WOW. What a game. All the girls certainly did themselves proud. With only 2 girls out of the 18, who had played before you certainly wouldn't have know. Every one of them put in tackles and had a run with the ball and, due to the rain, got themselves dirty. The game was end to end and after 30 minutes of hard physical rugby we ended up with both teams scoring 9 trys.

I don't think I have seen so many happy smiling faces after a game before. I can't wait until September when we can get going again -- and I think the same goes for the the girls!

Sheldon gave me confidence in my abilities and supported my ambitions. Going to a state school has many benefits over private in terms of real-world experience and being friends with a varied group of students. This has helped me in my life since school.
