Thank you to everyone who attended our first Y7 Parent Information Meeting last week. We had a great turn out and a wonderful discussion about the importance of reading with your children. If you were unable to attend the meeting, you can now download the presentation below. We would also be appreciative if you could fill out the short feedback survey at the bottom of the page.

As we mentioned during the meeting, reading is a priority for the school in all year groups. We are going to start group reading sessions during tutor time and would like to get recommendations on your favourite books. This survey has already gone out to staff and students, but we thought that parents would also like a chance to contribute to the list. The tutor time reading sessions aren't very long, so we are are looking for short books, ideally around 200 pages, so that the group will have a chance to finish it during the term. If you have a book you'd like to recommend (for any year group), please click here to submit it.

Sheldon gave me confidence in my abilities and supported my ambitions. Going to a state school has many benefits over private in terms of real-world experience and being friends with a varied group of students. This has helped me in my life since school.
