Our Year 13 Leavers' Day was full of sunshine and laughs as we celebrated their last day of school before exams begin. We couldn't have asked for better weather to send off this wonderful group of students. Many of our Sixth Form students entered Sheldon in Year 7 and it has been a pleasure to watch them grow and develop over the years into talented young adults about to head off into further studies, gap years, apprenticeships and more!

The Leavers' Day began with a celebratory breakfast with tutor groups where everyone got into the spirt of the day, donning their team colours and making creative banners. This was followed by a quiz in the Sixth Form Study Room. Then it was out to the field for a silly sports day complete with paper airplanes, egg and spoon races, fancy dress relay, welly tossing and tug of war. Congratulations to LMR for winning Sports Day and to LMT for getting top marks for their creative banner featuring the groups' Y7 photos! After cooling off with ice lollies it was time for their final school assembly, complete with an incredibly creative video that really showed off the acting talents of Mr Spiers!

We'd like to thank Miss Lolla for stepping in this year to be head of Year 13 and for helping to shape the last year of school for this wonderful year group. Thank you also to Ms Humphries, Mrs Coombs, all the Year 13 tutors and support staff that have helped our students through their time at Sheldon.

This year group is full of characters that won't soon be forgotten at Sheldon Sixth Form. We hope that you all have enjoyed your time here as much as we have enjoyed teaching you. Best of luck to everyone on their upcoming exams. We do hope that you'll all stay in touch as alumni and will let us know all about your journey after leaving Sheldon Sixth Form. Remember to always be kind, be brave and be the best you!

Childhood shapes who you become (as we say at the NSPCC) and Sheldon was a big part of that.
